I needed something for thoughts that are too long for Twitter or Facebook, but don't comprise a full blog post. Fortunately, that's what Tumblr is for.
first: great, magnificent
middle: pure
last: the shield or defense of many
I hate rebloggy things, but I’ve looked these up and always forget, so I’m gonna put them on my Tumblr and throw some thoughts in there for good measure.
first: “He was willing/determined”/”He was foolish”
In its Hebrew form it means “Yahweh is Elohim”/”The Lord is God”/”One name for the Judeo-Christian God is another name for the Judeo-Christian god”, plus a fun fact I learned just now: it’s also “Elijah” backwards in Hebrew. Cool beans.
But the above comes from some cognate languages apparently? I’m not sure what exactly that means, but I like the duality of the foolish/determined bit much better than some theological wordplay.
middle: ”twin”, from Aramaic via Greek.
last: broad grove/thicket - I think I’m gonna start going by the original “Bradeshaghe”
So, I’m a determined/foolish twin in a big thicket. Fair enough.
